When to call for carpet water extraction

Our service may be suitable for a recently discovered drinking-water pipe or supply-line leak affecting carpet. The water source must be stopped, access must be safe and the affected area must fit our equipment and scope. Tell us when the leak began, if known, and what the water may have touched.

Sewage, drain backups, outdoor floodwater, unknown-source water and mold-affected areas are outside our service. Contact a qualified water-damage restoration provider for those situations. Clear-looking water alone does not establish that a job is suitable for clean-water extraction.

What our extraction service includes

We review the water source, carpeted area and access before confirming the work. For suitable jobs, we use truck-mounted or portable extraction equipment to remove water from the affected carpet. The equipment and approach depend on the space and access available.

We also have a small number of air movers. Any use of those units is discussed as part of the job’s scope. We do not offer equipment rental, dehumidification or full structural drying.

Plan for drying beyond extraction

Water removal is one step in addressing wet carpet. Moisture can remain in carpet backing, padding, subfloors and nearby materials after extraction. A carpet that feels drier on top does not establish that everything underneath is dry.

Where additional drying or material assessment is needed, arrange a qualified restoration provider. Our extraction service does not certify complete drying, guarantee that carpet can be saved or include mold remediation.
