Published local pricesThe tool uses Clean It Best’s current chair, loveseat, sofa, ottoman and sectional rates.
No invented surchargesComplexity flags request review instead of pretending an unseen condition has a fixed price.
Minimum explainedThe $229 upholstery-only minimum applies toward eligible cleaning. It is not added on top.

Calculate a planning price

Choose the appointment type and number of pieces. Your result is a planning estimate based on the current published price table, not a final quote for unseen furniture.

1. How will upholstery cleaning be scheduled?
2. Select furniture quantities
3. Choose the closest condition

Condition choices do not add a made-up fee. They tell you when photos, fabric tags or inspection are needed before a final price can be confirmed.

Clean It Best upholstery cleaning price table

These are current published Metro Detroit prices. The add-on column applies when upholstery is cleaned during a carpet-cleaning appointment. The standalone column applies when furniture cleaning is the only service scheduled.

Furniture itemWith carpet cleaningUpholstery onlyPricing note
Chair or recliner$99$119Final scope depends on fabric, construction and condition.
Loveseat$129$149Standard-size piece with routine soil.
Standard sofa or couch$149$179Use photos to confirm unusually large or complex pieces.
Ottoman$39$49Useful for combining items toward the standalone minimum.
SectionalStarting at $269Starting at $299Photos are required to confirm size, layout and reclining or chaise sections.
How the $229 minimum works: An upholstery-only appointment has a $229 minimum. Eligible furniture cleaning counts toward that amount. For example, one standard sofa has a $179 standalone item rate, so the planned appointment floor is $229, not $408. Combining eligible items can use the minimum more efficiently.

What changes a couch or sectional cleaning price?

A useful quote defines the actual piece and the work involved. These conditions are why a sectional cleaning price often needs photos even when a published starting price is available.

Size and configuration

A compact loveseat, three-seat sofa, chaise sectional, U-shaped sectional and modular reclining group are not the same scope. Overall dimensions and the number of connected sections matter.

Attached and loose cushions

The number of cushions, whether they detach, which sides are cleanable and how the fabric is attached can change access and production time.

Fabric and cleaning code

W, S, WS, SW and X codes set broad cleaning boundaries. Fiber, dye stability, backing, trims and the furniture maker’s complete instructions still need attention.

Soil and spot history

Routine body oils and dry soil differ from heavy buildup, unknown household products, rings, color change or repeated spot-cleaning residue.

Pet odor depth

A surface event differs from contamination that reached cushion fill, decking or hidden construction. Cleaning-code compatibility does not reveal contamination depth.

Access and moving needs

Tight rooms, stairs, wall-hugging recliners, fragile legs and modular connections can affect safe access. Mention them before the visit.

How to compare upholstery cleaning quotes fairly

A lower number is not necessarily a comparable quote. Ask each cleaner to define these eight items so you can compare the same scope, not just the headline price.

Piece definitionDoes “sofa” match the actual width, configuration, chaise and reclining sections?
Cleanable surfacesWhich visible panels, backs, arms, skirts and cushion sides are included?
Cushion countAre loose cushions counted separately, and are one or both sides included when safe?
Fabric assessmentWill the tag, fiber, color stability, backing, trim and prior damage be checked?
Soil-removal processDoes the scope include dry-soil removal, testing, cleaning and controlled finishing?
Pet-treatment boundaryIs the quote for routine deodorizing, surface treatment or deeper contamination work?
Appointment minimumIs there a minimum, and does eligible cleaning apply toward it?
Price confirmationWhen will the final scope and price be approved before work begins?

Couch and sectional cleaning cost questions

How much does Clean It Best charge to clean a couch?

A standard sofa is $149 when added to a carpet-cleaning appointment or $179 as a standalone upholstery item. Upholstery-only appointments have a $229 minimum that applies toward eligible cleaning. Oversized, reclining, sleeper, delicate, heavily soiled or odor-affected pieces may require photos and a confirmed quote.

What is the starting sectional cleaning price?

Sectional cleaning starts at $269 with carpet cleaning or $299 for an upholstery-only appointment. Photos are required because chaise sections, reclining sections, U-shaped layouts, modular configurations and overall size can change the scope.

Is the $229 upholstery minimum an extra fee?

No. It is the minimum total for an upholstery-only appointment, and eligible furniture cleaning applies toward it. If the item subtotal is below $229, the planned appointment floor is $229. If the item subtotal is above $229, the item subtotal applies.

Why is the price lower when upholstery is cleaned with carpet?

The add-on rates apply when the upholstery work shares an existing carpet-cleaning appointment. The carpet service is priced separately. The estimator keeps the two appointment types separate so the comparison is clear.

Can this tool give a final price for pet odor?

No. Pet odor can involve only the face fabric or extend into cushion fill, decking and hidden construction. The estimator shows the published price floor and flags the piece for photos or inspection instead of inventing an unseen-treatment surcharge.

What photos should I send for a sectional quote?

Send one photo showing the entire sectional and room layout, another showing the fabric tag, clear images of any chaise or reclining sections, and closeups of spots, wear or pet-affected areas. Include the approximate overall dimensions if available.

Estimator methodology and limits

The calculator multiplies selected quantities by Clean It Best’s published add-on or standalone item rates. For upholstery-only visits, it displays the greater of the item subtotal or the $229 appointment minimum. Because sectional prices are published as starting prices, any estimate containing a sectional is labeled “starting at.” Condition flags never create an automatic surcharge. They indicate that photos, tag review or inspection are needed before the final price and cleaning plan can be confirmed.

Important: This tool is for planning. It does not determine fabric cleanability, promise stain or odor removal, override manufacturer instructions or quote repair, replacement or hidden-contamination work. Published prices and service availability can change. Clean It Best confirms the scope before cleaning.
